Mission Statement
As our civilization realizes that there is no real separation between humankind and nature, we become more able to attain a state of sustainable evolution, transforming society and restoring the health of our planet.
This realization gave birth to environmentalism, which can be described as the movement to protect the quality and continuity of life through conservation of natural resources, prevention of pollution, and beneficial land use while respecting and appreciating our natural world.
In order to develop a sustainable economy and provide a healthier standard of living for our future, we must work with plants and develop agricultural and processing methods that don't harm our environment.
The energy necessary for all life processes reaches the earth in the form of sunlight. By photosynthesis, green plants convert light energy into chemical energy; carbon dioxide and water are transformed into sugar, which is then stored in the plant. The energy for life on earth can only be replenished by green plants absorbing and converting solar energy.
We can create a sustainable path by holistically integrating human activity into the ecosystems that sustain us. When we utilize plants as our primary resource for energy and other materials, we come back into balance, creating a closed loop that does not generate pollution.
Hemp is a plant with enormous potential in this regard. It is the fastest growing agricultural crop and is gentle on the land, requiring no chemicals in its cultivation.
Hemp provides a cornucopia of valuable uses, including textiles, energy generation, paper, construction materials, non-woven composite materials for automobiles, and other industries, bio-plastics, food cosmetics, and more. Also, since hemp is biodegradable and natural, it will not become part of the rubbish that is filling our landfills or polluting our world.
The exploitation of stored solar energy locked into fossil fuels by prehistoric plants releases enormous quantities of carbon dioxide and other pollutants that threaten our health, our future economy, and ultimately, the sustainability of our presence and that of other species on this planet.
Natural, chemical-free hemp fabric is healthy for the skin; this is particularly important for people with allergies and chemical sensitivities.
Environmentally-sound processing preserves the innate integrity of the hemp fiber with its long molecular structure and inherent strength and durability. These finer yarns allow the weaving and knitting of wonderfully light and soft 100% hemp fabrics.
